Template:Species-infobox Skating Shy Guys[1] are Shy Guys that appear in GCN Sherbet Land, which first appears in Mario Kart: Double Dash!! and later in Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe as a retro course. The Skating Shy Guys skate around the course on ice skates and occasionally twirl into the air. They also serve as obstacles for the racers, slowing them down if they hit them. They come in blue and red varieties; the blue ones skate by themselves, while the red ones skate together holding hands. Skating Shy Guys reappear in the stadium section of Vancouver Velocity 2's R and T variants, where they skate around the ice in the former and twirl in one spot latter.
In Mario Pinball Land, Shy Guys on Skates[2] appear as enemies in the Frosty Frontier Stage. In addition to blue and red, they also appear in green and yellow.
