Dark Cannons are a type of black gun in the Subspace Emissary of Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Bowser and Wario each have their own Dark Cannons that they use. The Dark Cannons shoot out arrows that turn everyone it touches into a trophy, or an instant kill. They are very large and take two hands to hold-they also take some time to charge up. They also feature a target that helps the one who uses it be able to aim at the one they want to shoot. The player never gets to use a Dark Gun as only the villains get to use them.
Template:Spoiler Bowser's Dark Cannon is destroyed when, after shooting Diddy Kong, he attempts to shoot Fox, but Falco comes in and destroys the Dark Cannon with his Blaster. Wario isn't seen with the Dark Cannon after shooting Ness with it. Much later, when all characters go to Subspace, Ganondorf uses the last Dark Cannon available to shoot Bowser. He then kicks the Dark Cannon away.
