Gameplay

The object of this microgame is to erase the unnecessary letters by attacking them. If the unnecessary letters are erased, the letters will transform into a fruit and the game is won. If any other letters are erased, the game is lost. The fruit can be a cherry, a papaya, a banana, an apple, or a peach.

In East Asian languages, letters are katakana in the Japanese version, hangul in the Korean version, and Chinese characters in the Chinese version. In all other languages, there may be more than one necessary letter per plate.

  • Level 1: The player must erase one letter.
  • Level 2: The player must erase two letters, both of which are the same letter.
  • Level 3: The player must erase two different letters.

If two players are utilized for this microgame, there are three of the same unnecessary letter in Level 2 and three unnecessary letters in level 3. The player that erases the most unnecessary letters will receive a point for effort, and the player that erases a necessary letter will have an effort point reduced.
