Gameplay

Two teams have to race using handcars. On a curve, the handcar has to be leaned to the left or right so that it will continue without losing speed. In Mario Party and Mario Party Superstars,[2] leaning too much will result in the team falling down into the lava. However, it is not possible to fall off the track in Mario Party 2 (despite the Advice section in the rules saying players can) and The Top 100. The first team to reach the end wins.

  • Control Stick left or Control Stick right – Lean handcar
  • A Button (Repeatedly) – Speed up
  • B Button – Brake

  • Circle Pad Left / Right: Shift weight
  • Mash A Button: Accelerate
  • B Button: Brake
