- “The Iron Rose shan't wither!”
- —King Croacus I, Super Paper Mario
King Croacus I, also known as the Iron Rose, is a deceased (or rather, "wilted") king of the Floro Sapiens. His existence and history is told by his painting. The Floro Sapiens regard him as their greatest king, since he united them all into the Flora Kingdom. He made the Flora Calendar and set the capital at the Floro Caverns. He was called the Iron Rose because he was heavily armored. When his son wilted in 444, his spirit faded. He became corrupt, until he was overthrown. Queen Croacus the Second, his daughter, became his successor.
