So in short, italics must still be placed before and after the slash. Some things

Hey welcome. Noticing you're having some mistakes with writing. I recommend you go over MarioWiki:Manual of Style, but here's some quick things:

  • Italics are used for media titles, such as game names. They are not used for subjects like Gold Mario.
  • Bolds are used for the first instance of a subject on the subject's page. For example, the first use of "Mario" on Mario's page.
  • "It's" means "it is", "its" is used possessively (English, yay).
  • Be sure to double check your writing for typos, the software will usually point out misspellings.

That's Mario hitting the spikes below the Mushroom, taking damage and then picking the Mushroom up. This also has nothing to do with getting 1110 lives in NSMBW. Samus costume, in Super Mario Maker. Mario JC 21:28, April 27, 2021 (EDT)
