The Standard MR is Mario's standard kart in Mario Kart DS. It features a red frame to match Mario’s shirt as well the "M" emblem on his cap, unless the player changes the emblem. Its stats are average all-around, with all of its stats staying in the same range. Its highest stat is Acceleration (the same Acceleration as the Standard LG and Standard PC and equal to the 4-Wheel Cradle), while its lowest stat is Handling (the same Handling as the Standard WL). Meanwhile, its Speed, Weight, Drift and Items are all-around average.
