A table is included only when the template is used, hidden usually (try editing this page to see the code). End result: a full analysis of the user, including recent activity:
- All links to logs applicable for the user (that is, sysop/bureaucrat logs can also be shown).
- Breakdown of # and % of edits in each namespace,
- One random page most recently edited, at least edited once, and created in each namespace except for user (since it would be the user's own userpage all the time). Pages change with a refresh.
Such an analysis can show what type of a user (s)he is (for example, more [user] talk edits can mean chatty, but involved in the community, more main edits a writer-type, template can signify technical, etc.).
There are five variables. One is the username, which is by default the pagename (so no need to define it on the user's own user page)*. The second is if the user is a sysop or bureaucrat, by default blank. The last three are background, text, and header backgroiund colors of the table respectively, default light blue, black, and mid-blue. To define only certain variables, use, e.g. {{user-analysis|2=sysop|5=green}}
.
*If the username has spaces, it needs to be defined a second time by using a sixth variable with underscores (6=Part1_Part2
).
Note that the % is rounded to two decimal places, so adding all of them up may result in a slight margin of error. However, the # will be exact and add up to the total # of edits.
