Headbonk is the main attack of Goombario and Goombella in Paper Mario and its sequel. Headbonk targets one enemy on the ground or in the air, flips over shelled enemies, and hurts the bonker if used against enemies with spikes, etc. If the player hits the A button at the moment before impact, the attack will hit twice. In short, it is the Goomba's version of Jump.

Headbonk deals 1 damage per hit initially. This increases to 2 at Super Rank and 3 at Ultra. The move's 2-hit pattern limits its usefulness against foes with Defense Power, but also gives it greater effect from Power Plus P Badges.

The only thing that distinguishes Goombella's Headbonk from Goombario's is her Stylish Move, which is activated by pressing A right before her feet leave the ground.
