He is also a new playable character in the Wii game, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, fighting alongside the Pikmin. In fact, without the Pikmin, Olimar is helpless - He can't even use a Smash Attack. As such, Olimar has to constantly pick Pikmin out of the ground in order to fight. The Pikmin may also scatter, which acts very problematic for Olimar. However, so long as Olimar has even one Pikmin by his side, he can fight.
