Template:Minigame-infobox Crossfire Caverns is a Bowser Jr. minigame in Mario Party 9. This minigame is similar to Lava Lobbers in Mario Party 8.
Introduction
The second player fires a cannonball at Bowser Jr., who laughs as he dodges it. The camera zooms out to show the first player, then the screen splits in half.
Gameplay
The pair must try to hit Bowser Jr. with their cannonballs three times. Between the tracks, there are rocks, which can be destroyed with cannonballs. If Bowser Jr. ever gets too far off a player's screen, an arrow points in his direction. If a cannonball hits Bowser Jr., he loses a heart and is temporarily stunned. However, a cannonball that goes all the way across the field could hit the other player, stunning them temporarily. If the players cannot hit Bowser Jr. three times in 30 seconds, Bowser Jr. is victorious.
Ending
If the players are successful, Bowser Jr.'s mine cart will wobble slightly before it falls off the track. If the players are unsuccessful, Bowser Jr. jumps happily in his cart and laughs.
