The Domes are rooms in Super Mario Galaxy located in the Comet Observatory. These are where Mario can transport himself to other galaxies. After Mario collects Power Stars, more galaxies appear. The final galaxy of each dome is a boss battle against either Bowser or Bowser Jr. culminating in the acquisition of a Grand Star.
