Princess Rosalina (known as Rosetta in Japan) is a princess who will be appearing in Super Mario Galaxy. She first appears in the Gateway Galaxy. She wears a blue dress and looks oddly similar to Princess Peach. She's the mother of the Luma. She teaches Mario how to do a Star Spin and tells him to find Peach. She is also shown to give Mario a Luma named Tyke. In a screenshot, she is shown floating in the air with her eyes closed with a bright light in the background while Mario is looking at her. Princess Rosalina also has a castle. Her duty is watch over and protect the Luma.
Before she was the mother of the Luma, she was a normal girl that found an old spaceship. Their she found a Luma that was crying for his mama. Rosalina helped the Luma finding his mama. But it took to long, and she was missing her family to. Then on a strange planet they found another Luma, and another, and more and more Luma came and they all said: Mama, mama to Rosalina. But she missed her planet so she visit her home planet every hundreth years.
Princess Rosalina has many powers. For example, she is able to use her powers to surround the Comet Observatory in a force field, and transforming it into a sort of rocket as a form of transportation.
Trivia
- Princess Rosalina's similarity in appearance to Peach is no coincidence. In preplanning of Super Mario Galaxy, Princess Rosalina was planned to be related to her.
