It would be a bummer if somebody reads this, activates the superguide for testing purposes and ruins his/her shiny stars. I myself am going to start over my save because I used a superguide block but cannot verify the fact and do not trust the source.

In regards to the question, [http://www.nintendolife.com/forums/nintendo-switch/shiny_stars_in_new_super_mario_bros_u_deluxe someone thought of that months ago] and posted it there. • In New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, after using the Super Guide Block, the stars on the player's save file remain shiny instead of not being shiny.

Is this actually true? What is the source?

I haven't found any other source confirming this fact on the internet. The person who wrote it has been banned from the site. He wrote it in this revision: https://www.mariowiki.com/index.php?title=Super_Guide_Block&diff=2699826&oldid=2699022
