The level contains one Advance Coin. This card was released in Japan only after the e-Reader was discontinued outside Japan. The key art featured Larry Koopa.
Level synopsis
This level is a remake of World 1-2 from the original Super Mario Bros. with several differences: Mario starts the level in the underground area rather than running into a pipe beforehand, almost all of the Brick Blocks on the ground near the exit pipe are now Hard Blocks, the vertical pipe attached to the exit pipe was replaced by more blocks, and all three Warp Pipes in the Warp Zone lead Mario to a room with a treasure chest containing a Fire Flower. Also, as with World 1-1, the Ace Coin replaces the top center coin in the shortened bonus room, and most of the Brick Blocks there also contain coins.
