Sea Turtles[1] appear in Donkey Kong Jungle Beat as rivals Donkey Kong races in the Pear Kingdom level Deep Sea Sprint. If Donkey Kong does not get first place, he still completes the level, but he does not get as many beats. Aside from the different skin and shell colorations, all three of them look exactly the same.
Each of the three Sea Turtles always takes one preset path through the course, and therefore always finishes in one set position:
- The light-shaded Sea Turtle is placed first.
- The dark-shaded Sea Turtle is placed second.
- The middle-shaded Sea Turtle is placed third.
If Donkey Kong finishes first, they clap their flippers together in applause.
