Onigiri is a real-life Japanese food that appears as an enemy in Wrecking Crew '98. It is a living rice ball snack which can float through the air and jump very high. When it gets upset, it often explodes. Onigiri is the first secret opponent encountered in the game.
Another onigiri makes a brief cameo appearance in WarioWare: Twisted! as one of the many various objects Dr. Crygor was forging into WarioWare's new tilt-sensitive gaming systems during the introduction to Wario-Man's stage. It also appears in WarioWare: D.I.Y. in Ashley's microgame Rice Stuffed.
