Rocketbarrel Barrage is Diddy Kong's Final Smash in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U, based on Diddy's Rocketbarrel Boost move in Donkey Kong 64. When activated, Diddy will put on his Rocketbarrel Pack and start flying around the stage. The player can control Diddy's flight and press an attack button to launch exploding peanuts downward from Diddy's angle, though Diddy will fire a peanut automatically after a few seconds have passed. Diddy can also damage opponents by ramming into them.
When the attack ends, Diddy Kong's Rocketbarrel Pack violently explodes and flies off in different directions. Once the pack is about explode, Diddy Kong will begin flashing. Upon exploding, Diddy is flung slightly in the air and he is put into a helpless state in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, but not in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U. Additionally, Diddy Kong can KO himself if he flies past the blast lines, unlike other flying Final Smashes like Super Sonic and Charizard's Mega Evolution.
