I've found a walkthrough showing where to go to find them, the [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_dckphGdQI walkthrough] is shown to have little mousers. put at 15:57 to know where to go to find them, only seeing the teal ears show that the palette was right on the spriters ressource. --[[Special:Contributions/83.156.220.80|83.156.220.80]] 02:54, 26 July 2018 (EDT)

Isn't the Little Mouser called a Squeek, instead of a Squeak? ...At least in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door they are. Should I change the name of the article? Jolene 09:38, 15 May 2007 (EDT)Jolene

Pallete Swap

About the Little Mousers from Yoshi's Island, does anyone know if this dark grey pallete is used anywhere in the game? http://www.spriters-resource.com/game_boy_advance/sma3/sheet/15617/

Merge with Mowz (or vice versa)

Template:SettledTPP Template:ProposalOutcome The name "Little Mouser" from the Yoshi's Island strategy guide has been superceded by both Squeek and Mowz. Mowz is the latest name it goes by, but it already has its own article. They can easily become one, since Mowz's appearance is only a 3D representation of Mouser/Squeek. There's not much to suggest that Mowz is instead a sub-species, and being referenced singularly is not unusual since that is apparently often the case with other species characters in the scripts of the Mario Party games.

Addendum: As pointed out in the comments, Little Mouser was indeed used on the official website of Yoshi's New Island. This proposal has been updated with the issue - go with Little Mouser (valid and consistent, but a lower-priority source) or Mowz (an in-game source, but used only once).

Proposer: LinkTheLefty (talk)
Deadline: January 22, 2015, 23:59 GMT.

Merge with Mowz

  1. LinkTheLefty (talk) Per proposal.
  2. Megamario15 (talk) Despite the new category's appearance, I will stay here, even if I am clearly outvoted. We should go by the most recent name.

Mowz is a naming error or outdated; keep Little Mouser, but still merge Mowz into it

  1. Pseudo-dino (talk) Little Mouser is evidently used in Yoshi's New Island, a newer game.
  2. Aokage (talk) Yeah, I've brought this up on the Mowz talk page before. It's clearly just another name for the same species. Edit: Gonna go with "Little Mouser" as it's the more consistent name. If "Mowz" is used again in the future, then we can rename it.
  3. Walkazo (talk) - Per Aokage above and in the comments.
  4. Chocolate Mario (talk) Per all.
  5. Ghost Jam (talk) Per all.

Keep the pages separate, Mowz is a character / sub-species / etc.

Comments

The remaining issue would be what to do with Little Skull Mouser - like the Para-Galoomba and Winged Galoomba pages, the article title could be changed to "Skull Mowz" with the conjecture tag, mentioning that the older name is outdated. LinkTheLefty (talk) 22:00, 7 January 2015 (EST)
We stick with the official name no matter what. Even if the current name is outdated, if the other name has not been updated, it stays. Hello, I'm Time Turner.
It can be left alone since it's a unique enough name (unlike Galoomba, I guess), but I figured it could at least be addressed outside the main proposal. LinkTheLefty (talk) 22:41, 7 January 2015 (EST)

Actually, the name "Little Mouser" has been used most recently, in Yoshi's New Island. So that should probably be the name of the article. Aokage (talk) 10:08, 8 January 2015 (EST)

This still calls for a merge, but this could change it from Mowz to Little Mouser. Can you please point where exactly Little Mouser is used (keeping in mind that Mowz would still have priority if it's not in the game or manual)? LinkTheLefty (talk) 10:29, 8 January 2015 (EST)
It's on the official website: http://yoshisnewisland.nintendo.com/#/new-island/enemies/ I don't know if the name is mentioned in-game. Aokage (talk) 10:53, 8 January 2015 (EST)
I know it's not mentioned in the digital manual, and I don't recall any Message Blocks referring to them (correct me if I'm wrong), so unfortunately it looks like a lower-priority source. LinkTheLefty (talk) 12:02, 8 January 2015 (EST)
Well, the situation isn't exactly cut-and-dried. We're talking about a name change here. "Mowz" only appears in a single game, so it could be considered a naming error. "Little Mouser" is the more consistent name, and has been used more recently (even if in a lower-priority source). Aokage (talk) 15:43, 8 January 2015 (EST)
I'm not so sure about a naming error - while it's possible that the writer could have confused it with Ms. Mowz, it could just as well be that Mowz was an attempt to reconcile the species and character's Japanese names and further disassociate with Mouser. That said, I think it's allowed to be overlooked if it's determined to be a mistake (feel free to oppose if you think it is one and that it should be the other way around). Any other opinions on this matter? LinkTheLefty (talk) 21:05, 8 January 2015 (EST)
It might simply be that the localizers didn't know there was already an English name for them. In any case, you could rewrite the options to include "Merge them into Little Mouser", "Merge them into Mowz" and "Don't merge". That way we can just solve this all with one proposal. Aokage (talk) 05:15, 9 January 2015 (EST)
Good idea. I'm still allowed to do that. I'm not sure if I can move votes, so you'll have to adjust it yourself. Everyone, please consider the options carefully as they have changed. LinkTheLefty (talk) 09:43, 9 January 2015 (EST)
It's too late to change the proposal itself and vote reconsideration happens in rather low percentages, particularly on a low priority topic such as this. If you feel that the current voting trends vs. the newly decided goal of the proposal aren't copacetic, you can always ask an administrator to close this TTP per standard proposal rule 14. -- Shyghost.PNGGhost JamShyghost.PNG 04:23, 19 January 2015 (EST)
Thanks for the heads up, but I don't think that'll be necessary. LinkTheLefty (talk) 11:55, 22 January 2015 (EST)
