In the (quite frankly bloated) "Similarities to Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island" section of the Yoshi's Island DS page, this is said:
- In Spear Guys' Village Found!, there is a bush near the goal roulette containing a Shy Guy. If Yoshi passes through the bush without defeating the Shy Guy first, a Bandit will swap it out for Baby Mario, whom he tries to run off with. The Shy Guy will stay on Yoshi's back until he grabs Baby Mario back from the Bandit.
