I'm questioning the line "There's no power-up like dancing." The first word of the line doesn't seem to have an initial "th" sound, and end of the first word feels a bit more like a plosive "t" than just a straight sibilant "s" sound. Perhaps the line is "It's no power-up like dancing, but either way, the line feels a bit out of place in the context. I also think "Straighten up your cap" might actually be "straighten *out* our cap." Artsyomni (talk)
Captain Toad
I am pretty certain that the line "you know that every CAPTAIN needs a CREW" is referring to Captain Toad and the Toad Briggade. Considering both CT and his briggade appears in the game. So I really don't understand why the code for the page sais "please don't add captain toad here". That's exactly what I was planning to do. So whoever added that comment, please explain why you don't believe that reference.
- I didn't add the tag, but the line can very well be a metaphor of Mario and Cappy. -- -- KOOPA CON CARNE 08:39, 1 November 2017 (EDT)
- Captain Toad's role in the game is negligible at best. Hello, I'm Time Turner. 08:38, 1 November 2017 (EDT)
- I added that due to A): Precisely what Turner and Radio said, B): If that were a reference to Captain Toad, it should be more obvious, and C): The song is about Mario and Pauline, not what amounts to a recurring extra in the game. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 09:08, 1 November 2017 (EDT)
- Captain Toad's role in the game is negligible at best. Hello, I'm Time Turner. 08:38, 1 November 2017 (EDT)
- Also, Cappy gives Mario a captain's hat in the early stages of the game to "captain" the Odyssey.
Song lyrics. (Japanese)
Hello there,
why is the translation of 女神がきすをした actually a 'Godly kiss'? It actually says: 'The goddess kissed':
女神(Goddess)が(particle)キス(Kiss)を(Particle, direct object)した(-ed)
I guess you'd say something like this if you wanted to mean a deity kiss or a godly kiss... 敬虔[な]キス
Whether it makes sense or not, the translation doesn't seem to me like "a godly kiss" at all.
