:I think it was added in back before [[Koopa Troopa]] and [[Koopa (species)]] sorted out their differences, and it was just never updated. ::Going by the Japanese name, it seems more likely that they're a second attempt at a bipedal [[Spiny]] after [[Spikey (Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars)|Spikey]]. The somewhat sunken eye design bears resemblance, although it's a bit hard to tell for sure what they were going for with these early N64 graphics. Perhaps change it to "Spinies" since "Miscellaneous Koopas" tends to be a little more exclusive? Speculation

- I think it's safe to assume they're Bowser's minions, since they're Koopas and they guard a Bowser Key.
