History

Luigi's Thunder Bros. attack can give this status effect to enemies.

Starkisses are one of the enemies that can cause POW-Down to the Mario bros.

Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time

POW-Down is the same status ailment in Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time. It is indicated by a shrinking red circle around the affected. Ice Flowers can randomly inflict this status ailment on enemies.

Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story

POW-Down returns again in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story. Red streaks flowing downward indicate the affected. The Mighty Meteor and the Shroob Boots can cause this on enemies.
