Cape Mario is a form of Mario in Super Mario World. It can be obtained when Mario has a cape by getting a feather out of a ? Block. It can allow Mario to fly through worlds, and attack spiked enemies by spinning it around. Luigi can also get this form, but the powers remain the same as Mario's with a slightly different flight pattern, moving higher up and down then Mario's. It is unknown how the Cape seemingly attaches itself to the Brother's shoes.
Baby Mario uses a similar form in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island where he becomes invincible. In addition to being invincible, he can also walk on walls. This form re-appears in Yoshi's Island DS. In both games, "Super Baby Mario" as he is called, can use the Cape as a parachute to float downwards.
In Super Smash Bros. Melee, Mario can use a cape to reflect attacks. This cape does not enable Mario to fly, however, but, when used in the air, makes Mario float a very small distance.
