Wooden Medals are items awarded to participants of the International Mushroom Games. When a competitor or a team is in second place, they receive a Wooden Medal. At the end of the Games, they are worth five points when adding up each team's medals. In Leaping Lizards, several of them are awarded throughout the competition, though who receives them is dependant on choices made throughout the competition (some events do not specify or clarify which teams receive the medal).
- Obstacle Course - either Morton Koopa Jr. (if Mario runs the event) or Angus Boomer (if Luigi runs the event)
- Beetlebowl - either the Sneaks (if Mario, Luigi, and Peach, or just Mario and Luigi defend their bucket) or the Hammers (if Luigi and Peach are dunking)
- Fungus Lift - The Hammers
- Super Triple Jump - either Iggy Koopa (if Mushroom King is chosen as the competitor), Luigi (if he is chosen and uses the Pogo Stick or the Wings), or Cobrat (if Luigi is chosen and does not use any items)
