Mario & Luigi, demonstrating how the Wii Wheel works.

The Wii Wheel is an accessory for the Nintendo Wii, however not included with the Wii. This wheel will actually be included with Mario Kart Wii. The Wii Wheel is used so players can control the characters much easier in the game. It is a steering wheel seen in cars, that players can optionally use to control the game. However, the Wii Remote must be inserted inside the Wii Wheel, or else the wheel won't work.

Specifically in Mario Kart Wii, a button on the back is also included for power-sliding.
