The Standard MR is Mario's standard kart in Mario Kart DS. It features a red hood to match its driver as well the "M" present on Mario's Cap (unless the player changes the emblem). Its stats are average all-around, with all of its stats staying in the same range. Its highest stats are acceleration and items (tying with the Royale and Light Dancer, while its lowest stat is handling (comparable to Light Tripper and ROB-LGS.
