In Super Mario Bros. 3, a Roulette Box is a box at the end of the level that switches among 3 items; a mushroom, a Fire Flower, or a Star. Levels are finished by hitting them. Getting 3 Star cards will result in 5 extra lives. In most levels, a Star card can easily be obtained by running during the last few seconds before getting it. However, this is not true in some levels such as 1-4 because the distance is too short.
