Monkey Flip is a move used by Diddy Kong in the Super Smash Bros. series. B Button while tilting Control Stick to the side. Once activated, Diddy Kong backflips forward, towards the opponent, latches onto the opponent and starts pummeling them, and then either hits them, or jumps off them. Diddy Kong can also kick through the somersault, as a means of defense. The distance traveled can be changed depending on whether the Control Stick and special move button are pressed simultaneously or not.

In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U, the move has two variants: Back Flip and Flying Monkey Flip. Back Flip allows Diddy Kong to leap backwards instead of forward and perform a stronger kick, but does not grab opponents, and Flying Monkey Flip allows Diddy Kong to jump higher with a strong jump attack, but has a weaker kick and grab attack.
