Template:Minigame-infobox Frozen Frenzy is a 4-player mini-game found in Mario Party 5.

The goal of this mini-game is to have the most crystals in possession before the time runs out. As the mini-begins, five crystals fall on different parts of the screen. Four are in each corner, and the other one is near the center of the screen. Each crystal has a small star inside it, and also has its own, unique color: One is blue, one is yellow, one is red, one is green, and the last one is sky blue. The players must try to collect these crystals, or rather, steal them from the other players. The players may jump, Ground Pound, punch and kick each other to steal crystals from them. Another way to lose stars is to touch an icicle. These randomly fall from above and stay on the ground. Upon making contact with them, the player drops all of his or her crystals. After 45 seconds of madness, the mini-game is over, and the player who managed to collect the bigger amount of crystals is the winner. If more than one player have the same amount of crystals, then all the players win, rather than ending in a tie.

This mini-game takes place in an ice crystal cave. It is surrounded by glittering walls of ice that go all the way up, and off the screen. The walls are randomly decorated with small, yellow stars. Some of these starts actually make some minor movements, especially the bigger, brighter ones. There are small, ice platforms and slopes, which need to be passed to obtain a crystal. Additionally, each crystal is illuminated by light that seems to come from the ceiling.

Trivia

  • Interestingly, this is one of the few, if not the only mini-game which needs more than one Control Explanation Square, due to the varied amount of moves the player can perform in it.
