Fruits of Doom

Template:Minigame-infobox Fruits of Doom is a Bowser minigame in Mario Party 4. It involves Bowser commanding the four players to bring him fruit.

Gameplay

At the beginning of the game, Bowser says a list of the fruits he wants. The list of fruits speeds up, making the end of the list barely understandable. After Bowser finishes his list, the players take turns bringing him a fruit. If the person brings a fruit that is on the list, then the participants keep playing.

The eight fruit choices shown in the mini-game are in order from left to right as follows: a Strawberry, a Melon, an Apple, an Orange, a bunch of Grapes, a pair of Cherries, a bunch of Bananas, and a Pineapple. Despite their appearances, the fruits do not have to be brought in any specific order; rather, each successful offering removes a corresponding fruit from the list Bowser gave at the beginning. The game continues until someone brings a fruit that is not on Bowser's list, or brings him too many of a fruit; as a result, that player loses the game, getting burnt by Bowser.

As the game progresses, Bowser may occasionally show second thoughts about eating the fruit that he is given. This can fake out players to some extent, but ultimately has no gameplay effect.

• Bowser (if someone brings him the wrong fruit or a fruit that's not on his list) – "NOOOO!!" (he can also say "GET RID OF THIS!" or "I CAN'T EAT THIS!".)

Trivia

• The final fruits on Bowser's list are only visible for about 4 frames.
• If all ten fruits are given to Bowser, the next player suffers an automatic loss.
