World 1-1 is the name of the first level in many Mario games, especially the Mario side-scrollers. Besides World 1-1 of Super Mario Bros. 2, Goombas and Koopa Troopas are found every World 1-1. Typically, World 1-1 is a grassland. Most of the time, World 1-1 introduces the player to the basic mechanics of a game. Obviously, World 1-1 is followed by World 1-2.
