:::That is unsourced and heavily unlikely considering they don't mix icons with names. They only use the word bell without the super, similer to Flower vs. Fire Flower and Mushroom vs. Super Mushroom. In the same regards as Legend of Zelda having nothing to do with Yoshi Egg, the Super Bell is just an unrelated Icon for this cup. Sorry to burst your bubble, but the only reference to the Bell currency is the collectables on the Animal Crossing Course. Tomodachi Life

Does anyone else notice the Tomodachi Life symbol on the image showing Villager and Isabelle when viewing the shop? [[User:Trainiax|Mario Kart Master]] #MarioKartMaster #MK8 (talk) 11:05, 20 September 2014 (EDT)

Where are they viewing the shop? YoshiCGicon.pngTSUNAMIArtwork of Plessie with the four playable characters, from Super Mario 3D World.

Name of this pack

The only official source where I've seen this DLC pack mentioned by name in plain text is the (North American) eShop, where it's called "Pack 2: Animal Crossing X Mario Kart 8". Is there a source for "New Leaf" being part of the title (or the multiplication sign, for that matter)? --Steve470 (talk) 09:11, 6 November 2014 (EST)

Yes, the official site. Look at the logo of the pack. Lakituthequick.png Lakituthequick 10:17, 6 November 2014 (EST)
From that, the name of the pack should be "Welcome to Animal Crossing New Leaf | Mariokart 8". Which is why I was interested in how Nintendo put it in text. --Steve470 (talk) 11:53, 6 November 2014 (EST)
The "Welcome to" is only part of the logo. BTW, it seems it is "Animal Crossing: New Leaf x MK8", not just Animal Crossing. YoshiCGicon.pngTSUNAMIArtwork of Plessie with the four playable characters, from Super Mario 3D World.
Is there a source for the multiplication sign used in the article? I've seen two official sources; one uses a vertical line, the other a capital X. --Steve470 (talk) 23:35, 7 November 2014 (EST)
Search for the most recent Nintendo Direct. It pretty much seems ×, not X. YoshiCGicon.pngTSUNAMIArtwork of Plessie with the four playable characters, from Super Mario 3D World.

With the update to 3.0/release of TLoZxMK8, the New Leaf portion of the Animal Crossing logo has been removed on both the official site and the in-game shop (at least in the American version). Is this sufficient evidence that the article should be moved to Animal Crossing X Mario Kart 8 and the pack referred to as Animal Crossing × Mario Kart 8? --Steve470 (talk) 18:15, 13 November 2014 (EST)

Yes it is. I'll move it right now. (sorry for late reply, thought the comment wasn't improtant so didn't check it) It seemed strange to be called Animal Crossing New Leaf. YoshiCGicon.pngTSUNAMIArtwork of Plessie with the four playable characters, from Super Mario 3D World.

Cup names

A comment in the article's code asked about finding the cup names from the given source. Here's how to do it (using Chromium/Chrome, hopefully other browsers are similar): Go to https://mariokart.tv/en_us/video_posts and click on the magnifying glass to bring up the full search function. You'll see all of the cup logos in the second section. Right clicking on the Star Cup logo and choosing "Inspect element" shows this in the page's source code:
<a href="" id="cup-3" class="icon-cup-star">Star Cup</a>
That's the code that tells the page to display "Star Cup" when its logo is clicked on. Doing the same on the two question mark icons serving as placeholders for Pack 2 yields the following:
<a href="" id="cup-11" class="icon-cup-unknown">Crossing Cup</a>
<a href="" id="cup-12" class="icon-cup-unknown">Bell Cup</a>
This indicates that if those icons were clickable, they would display "Crossing Cup" and "Bell Cup". --Steve470 (talk) 10:37, 15 November 2014 (EST)

Hi, that was me. Will check when the site is up again. YoshiCGicon.pngTSUNAMIArtwork of Plessie with the four playable characters, from Super Mario 3D World.
Thanks. Now I can see them. I'll add some instructions in the ref... YoshiCGicon.pngTSUNAMIArtwork of Plessie with the four playable characters, from Super Mario 3D World.

No comma

  • Mistake! There is no comma in between 13 and 2014. 78.143.168.59 13:00, 18 November 2014 (EST)

A "beach themed track"?

I think the "beach themed track" mentioned in the article is just part of Animal Crossing course. Hippopo (talk) 02:49, 2 April 2015 (EDT)

Animal Crossing Cup

  • Go to the JP website for the game, go to the DLC section, and click on the video for pack 2, it shows that the AC track is in the Crossing Cup YoshiMaster1026!!

New Desert Track

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1EaMrNmRUfQ 1:54 Is that a new desert track, or is it just Bone Dry Dunes from an angle I can't recognize it? --Weebbby (talk) 17:14, 8 April 2015 (EDT)

That's just Bone-Dry Dunes.

Weight

I think the Villagers and Isabelle are lightweights and Dry Bowser a heavyweight. --Mushroom Koop (talk) 01:19, 11 April 2015 (EDT)

You wonder why is the Bell Cup named like this?

The currency in Animal Crossing is called the Bell.
The preceding unsigned comment was added by Mushroom Koop (talk).

Actually, no, it's as in the Super Bell which is the track icon. Artwork of the Toad Brigade from Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker.Toad and his brigade!Toadette model CTTT.png 01:24, 11 April 2015 (EDT)
They just used the Super Bell icon to incorporate with the Animal Crossing Pack (currency in Animal Crossing).Infinite8 20:44, 12 April 2015 (EDT)
