Cheep Cheep Shot

Template:Minigame-infobox Cheep Cheep Shot is a boss minigame in Mario Party 9. The name is a pun on the term "cheap shot".

Introduction

The players will dive into the ocean. Cheep-Cheep will then swim around for a second before coming up in front of them.

Gameplay

The players must damage Cheep-Cheep by grabbing the Green Shells inside bubbles and tossing them at Cheep-Cheep, which will earn them three points. He or she must also avoid its attack: heading right for the player by charging at the part of the screen they are on at that point. When Cheep-Cheep loses half its health, it will become enraged, speeding up its tackling attack. It will also fly out of the water and dive back in in a spiral.

Ending

When Cheep-Cheep is defeated, it will simply tilt back in pain before exploding and revealing Mini Stars.

• Rules – "Grab shells and fire them at Cheep Cheep as fast as you can while avoiding his attacks."
• Controls – "Hold the Wii Remote sideways. Tilt it in the direction you want your character to move. Swim into a shell to pick it up. Press to throw shells."
