Club Nintendo is a service currently operating in Japan, North America, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, South Africa, Russia, and Australia. Members receive points for registering Nintendo products, which can then be redeemed for Nintendo-themed merchandise.

On January 20, 2015, Nintendo announced that Club Nintendo will be discontinued in North America on June 30, 2015[1], and in all other regions on September 30, 2015.[2] A new membership program was also announced to replace Club Nintendo in the same year.
