See above, but basically Garlic Pot is a conjectural title, both Garlic and Pot (which are used one page after the other in the manual) are taken, and ''Virtual Boy Wario Land'' uses [http://nintendoagemedia.com/elements_nocache/B5C790F7-CF1D-7AA0-081B4E1FC0C77424.jpg garlic] [http://nintendoagemedia.com/elements_nocache/B5C791F1-CF1D-7AA0-0449AE40CB91093A.jpg bottle] in the manual. The Bull Pot article also counts the appearance of the "Viking helmet" from that game as one in the same, so for all intents and purposes, the virtually identical pot and bottle should be considered the same for consistency's sake.

See above for reasons; it was short one vote, but I'm giving it another chance to reach an actual conclusion.

Merge with Garlic Bottle?

Oddly enough, all the other Pot power-ups are clearly named in the Wario Land manual except this one, which is just called "Garlic" on the ability diagram. However, there seems to be a very similar item called the Garlic Bottle in Virtual Boy Wario Land, which also has its own article. They apparently to function identically, so it's probably just an alternate translation for what should have been Garlic Pot. Since they're more or less the same and it has a proper name besides just garlic, maybe they should merge? LinkTheLefty (talk) 21:59, 4 December 2014 (EST)

Merge with Garlic Bottle!

Template:SettledTPP Template:ProposalOutcome See above, but basically Garlic Pot is a conjectural title, both Garlic and Pot (which are used one page after the other in the manual) are taken, and Virtual Boy Wario Land uses garlic bottle in the manual. The Bull Pot article also counts the appearance of the "Viking helmet" from that game as one in the same, so for all intents and purposes, the virtually identical pot and bottle should be considered the same for consistency's sake.

Support

  1. LinkTheLefty (talk) Per proposal.
  2. Toadbrigade5 (talk) Per all.
  3. Time Turner (talk) The items, besides being visually similar and having similar names, have the exact same effects. I'd say that they were intended to be the same item, per LTL's reasoning.

Merge with Garlic Bottle! redux

Template:SettledTPP Template:ProposalOutcome See above for reasons; it was short one vote, but I'm giving it another chance to reach an actual conclusion.

Support

  1. LinkTheLefty (talk) Per proposal.
  2. Walkazo (talk) - Per LTL. Merging this with Garlic Bottle makes sense and cuts down on conjecture.
  3. Pseudo-dino (talk) Yep, seems clear that these are the same item. Per LinktheLefty.
  4. Yoshi876 (talk) Per all.
  5. Mario (talk) Makes sense. Has the same function, looks the same, sounds the same, and is used the same way. If it looks like a duck, acts like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it's a duck.
