Super Piranha Plants are giant Piranha Plants found in the game New Super Mario Bros.. They act just like Piranha Plants. They are never found inside pipes due to their gigantic size. Mario must shoot three fireballs at one to destroy the monstrous plant. When killed, they will give up eight coins, instead of the usual one coin.
In Super Mario 64's Tiny-Huge Island there was a similar enemy that was about the same size as the Super Piranha Plant that would suddently grow out of the ground, then spits a fireball before dissappearing. It is unknown whether these are Super Piranha Plants or just a result of the level's effect.
