Chuckleroot is a large, gnarled tree that lives in Chucklehuck Woods. He guards the Mother Chuckalola, the mother tree for the forest, where the Chuckola Reserve is located. During the events of Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, the heroes of the Mushroom Kingdom, Mario and Luigi, travel to the forest to find a cure for Queen Bean's stomach illness. Before they can pass however, Chuckleroot asks the plumbers to collect three special Chuckola Fruits as proof of their worthiness. Eventually, Mario and Luigi collect the requested fruit and enter the Chuckola Cola brewery.
