Skeletons are enemies from the game Donkey Kong for the Game Boy. They first appear in the Desert in stage 5-2. Sukeruton wander around on the ground and throw bones at Mario if he approaches them. Touching the Sukeruton or the bones kills Mario. Sukeruton can be defeated with a hammer, and their bones can also be destroyed with the hammer.
