The Star Tourney is the third tournament in Mario Hoops 3-on-3. It can be unlocked by completing the Flower Tourney. The tournament is played on Wario Factory, Jr. Street, Bowser's Castle Court and, in exhibition mode only, Glare Desert. There are two difficulties of the Star Tourney: normal and hard. In each one, the prize can be either bronze, silver, or gold. Clearing normal Star Tourney unlocks Rainbow Tourney.
Unlockables
- Bowser – Complete normal Star Tourney with a bronze prize or higher.
- Moogle – Complete normal Star Tourney with a silver prize or higher.
- Spiked Ball – Complete normal Star Tourney with a gold prize.
- Glare Desert – Win by at least 800 points any Star Tourney match.
- Fly Guy – Complete hard Rainbow Tourney with a bronze prize or higher.
- Fly Guy alternate costume – Complete hard Star Tourney with a silver prize or higher.
- Goomba Ball – Complete hard Star Tourney with a gold prize.
