Green's bridge being revealed in an interdimensional transparency on Mount Lineland.

Mount Lineland is a mountain ahead of Lineland Road, nestled before the enormous Yold Desert. This element of geography has been used in the original Paper Mario, in which Mt. Rugged was nestled before Dry Dry Desert.

On Mount Lineland, Mario will enter Yold Town and will meet two bridge guards. One, Red, is the guard of the first bridge. Mario must Flip to the 3-D dimension to find red in his house, standing on his bed. He complains of being lost in the 3rd dimension and wishes to be free. Once Mario has helped him, he asks Mario a question of "Which color is the manliest? Red or Green?" If Mario answers red, Red will kindly reveal a bridge.

Green, the other bridge guard, will reveal his bridge with permission from the mayor of Yold Town. He will, however, ask Mario "What is your favorite color? Red or green?" If Mario answers green, he will kick him out of the house because Mario is wearing red and Green believes that he is lying. If he answers red or both, he's kicked out of the house anyway.

Mount Lineland has many similarities to the environment of Mt. Rugged.
