Porky

Not to be confused with Pokey.

Porky, otherwise known as The Pig King and as Pokey Minch in EarthBound (but still called Porky in Mother 2), is a character from the Mother series, known as Earthbound in America. He is a major character in EarthBound, appearing as Ness's rival, and is the main antagonist in Mother 3. Porky appears as a boss in Super Smash Bros. Brawl in his Spider Mech. In the Subspace Emissary, he fights Ness and Lucas and later appears in The Great Maze. His theme was first revealed in the Smash Bros. DOJO!!. Porky (as a kid) along with his statue make an appearance in the background of the New Pork City stage; his theme is also playable in New Pork City.

Role in Subspace Emissary

When Lucas walks alone in The Ruined Zoo, a giant statue of Porky Minch appears and begins chasing him through the zoo, attempting to crush him. At the end of the scene, Lucas gets his leg stuck under a root and is about to be hit by the Statue, when Ness appears to Lucas's rescue, destroying the statue by using PK Thunder and PK Flash. It reveals a spider-like machine that has Porky inside it, and the boys battle him. Ness and Lucas defeat Porky and destroy the machine.

Trivia

• Of all the bosses in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Porky is the only one who interacts with characters who are from his own series only; only interacting with Ness and Lucas.
