The Paratroopa Capsule first appeared in Mario Party 5, where it could be thrown to a space on the board, or used on the player for ten coins. It summoned Paratroopa, who had the player hit a Dice Block to show an amount of coins. Paratroopa then took coins from the opponents equal to the amount that was rolled. In Mario Party 6, it became the Paratroopa Orb that players could only place on a space as a roadblock trap (and costs ten coins at the Orb Shop. It was also mistakenly named the Koopa Troopa Orb). Opponents that landed on a space containing the Orb made Paratroopa appear to switch places with the owner of that Orb.
