Template:Minigame-infobox Mario Speedwagons is a four-player minigame found in Mario Party 4. Its name is a pun on the name of the American rock band REO Speedwagon.

Introduction

The camera zooms across the speedwagons each caracter controls. Then, the four splitscreens fly in. The traffic signal flies in and after the "START!" signal, the signal's lights will turn on. When the green light flashes, the race starts.

Gameplay

The goal is the be the first one to cross the finish line.

Along the way, the car's gears will need to shift as it picks up speed. This is indicated by the gear numbers flashing in the bottom-right corner. However, correct timing is needed, as shifting too fast or too slow will result in a decrease in speed or no increase in speed, respectively. Likewise, accelerating too quickly at the start can cause the car to not move very much, similar to when in the Mario Kart series, accelerating at the beginning causes the player to burn out and not move much.

Ending

At the "FINISH!" signal, the splitscreen with the winning player zooms in, the player's wagon has a parachute flying off it. After that, the scene changes to the winner podium, where the players are in their respective positions. The winner does their victory pose, and the other players sulk.
