Pianta Village's landscape at night.

Pianta Village is the ancestral home of the Piantas on Isle Delfino in Super Mario Sunshine. It's built in a huge crater in the branches of a titanic palm tree to protect it from predators. The village's underside is composed of giant, bouncy mushrooms. The undersides ceiling is made of bamboo platforms and catwalks. It's very tricky, because one slip up and Mario falls inot the Abyss below. The giant branches are slick unlike the ones on top, so he cannot be saved if he lands on them. A secret area is found in the underside, which is covered with yellow Goop. Mario has to bring a Yoshi here to get the Goop off. Surprisingly, Piantas (all of which are Chucksters) live in the secret area of the underside.

This level is unique in that the time changes between day and night. Odd-numbered episodes take place at night, while even-numbered episodes are during the day.

Mario starts out on a ledge of the crater, to get to the village Mario must cross a bamboo bridge or jump off onto the mushrooms. On the village side of the bridge is a Bee's nest, and sometimes a Yoshi Egg.

To unlock Pianta Village, Mario will need the Rocket Nozzle and 30 Shine Sprites.
