The Piranha Plant Capsule first appeared in Mario Party 5, where it and could be thrown to a space on the board, or used on the player for five coins (but was never, EVER advised). Whoever landed on a space containing this capsule got chewed up by a Piranha Plant, and was then spat out. They lost half their coins from this. In Mario Party 6 and Mario Party 7, it became an Orb that players could only place on a space (and costs 15 coins at the Orb Shop). Opponents that landed on a space contaning the orb again got eaten by a Piranha Plant, but the owner of that space recieved half their coins.
