Template:Levelbox Giant Skewer Tower (Giant Spike Pillar Tower in PAL version) or Sparkling Waters-Tower, is the Tower course of Sparkling Waters in New Super Mario Bros. U. It is unlocked via Tropical Refresher, and completing the Tower unlocks Haunted Shipwreck, and a cutscene of Peach's Castle being completing shrouded in Kamek's tornado. However, the cutscene will not play if Freezing-Rain Tower is completed beforehand.

The third Boom Boom boss fight.

Similarly to World 4-Castle of New Super Mario Bros. Wii, this is a water course filled with spiked pillars. The first part of the Tower is underwater, and the most prominent obstacle are giant spiked pillars which thrust forward periodically. Dry Bones are the only enemies in the Tower.

Boom Boom is the boss of the tower. Kamek will fly in and give Boom Boom the ability to jump. Unlike in the second round, however, Boom Boom keeps his spin attack, even after getting stomped on.

Star Coins

  • Star Coin 1: Where the first spiked pillar is, go to the wall on the left for the first Star Coin.
  • Star Coin 2: In plain sight, use the Note Block to reach it.
  • Star Coin 3: Same as Star Coin 2, only this one is above a spiked pillar. The star coin can also be obtained via POW Block.
