It's possible to access the secret room during chapter 3. Get the super boots, then leave the mansion, beat Jr. Troopa and leave the forest. Go to Mario's house and enter the room. Luigi will take the diary and leave the room. Yagami80 (talk)
An Adventure
"and adventure" that Luigi talks about in Page 7. Wouldn't that rather refer to the "Super Luigi" story in Paper Mario Thousand Year Door? Instead of Luigi's Mansion?
Saving Princess Eclaire sounds more like an adventure than that Mansion. But then again, he was saving Mario.
