"Lava is, quite simply, molten rock, just like in real life." Just a thought, is it confirmed in any Mario games/other products? I know it doesn't really matter, and that it is supposed to be like in real life, but there is no evidence of this. Magma
Shouldn't we call the lava that's underground magma? Or should we simply call them all lava?

- I think that magma is pretty much completely enclosed by earth, but lava is in the open, and that's how it is in all the Mario games. Yoshiwaker
