Swoopys are large red, sharp beaked bird encountered in the game Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble.
In the mandatory worlds Donkey Kong Country 3 a Swoopy is only encountered briefly in one of the levels in the area Kremwood Forest.
Though in the optional world, Krematoa the Swoopys have an entire level dedicated called "Swoopy Salvo". Here Dixie and Kiddy Kong had to venture through a large petrified forest, all the while dodging barrages of Swoopys.
Despite being enemies Swoopys can be unintentually helpful, if a Swoopy misses a Kong it will sometimes get stuck in a wall and be used as a platform.
Swoopys are the airial equivalent of Bazzas and Lemguins, possessing a similar attack pattern of flying in lines from one hole in their tree to another.
